Merry Christmas

This is my first attempt at "blogging". My goal with this site is to post my thoughts with friends and family. I have recently been relocated to a new town and environment. Most of my family is more than 8 hours away and all my friends are too! I miss them dearly and today is a time to remember and miss them all.

It is also important to note that I know I am supposed to be here in Jacksonville Arkansas. I know no one here, but am starting to get to know some of the people at church. They have been so sweet and kind to take me in. They are a church that is "Motivated for Jesus". I have never attended a church like this one, the minister is so wonderful to learn from, there is no sugar coating of God's precious word. He does not try to make you feel good, he simply preaches the truth of the Bible. Don't misunderstand, he also is very encouraging, as the bible is, it is so refreshing.

The scripture for today is: Lamentations 3:22-24

"The faithful love of the Lord never ends ! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh every morning. I say to myself, The Lord is my inheritance; therefore I will hope in Him. " NLT

It amazes me how God's mercy can be new every morning. Think about it, each day is a new beginning. We actually start all over. That's why it is so important to communicate with the Lord every day. He has granted us new mercy everyday, so we need to remember no matter how bad we messed up yesterday, today we have new mercy from God to make better choices and have more fellowship with Him today! In referencing this scripture I found an abundance of scripture regarding God's mercy enduring forever. Imagine we, an undeserving lot of folks, enjoying an unending portion of God's never ending mercy! I don't know about you, but that makes me want to shout!!! This can only come from a God who truly loves us, although sometimes I wonder why, I know I fail Him on a daily basis.

Thats all for today--God Bless
